Question about Vacuums
Im trying to replace the cloth bag on my Kirby G6. How do I release the belt that holds the cloth bag at the bottom of the assembly? It is grey and has teeth that grab when tightened on the bottom of the unit.
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure.
There is a vinyl cover over the outside of the cloth bag and underneath the vinyl cover is a
ny tie that you have to cut off and replace with a new one and the cloth bag will slip off the bottom of the dirt cup @ the bottom of the cloth bag and remove the top cover and the bag should just come off, you can get the ny tie from any local vacuum cleaner dealer that does repairs or you can call the Kirby factory phone number listed below
