Hi,

Is there power when you turn the system On?

In your case it is very difficult to find out which is causing the system not to power, this can be multiple devices on your ssytem.

trying to eliminate one device after another try following the steps below:

>remove the Battery from the system, unhook the adaptor as well then Press and Hold down the power button for 7-10 seconds to drain any power on your motherboard.

>after power draining the system connect the adaptor to your laptop, do not insert the battery yet, Power the system without the battery, if the system turns on leave it turned on for about a minute then shut it down normally.

>insert the battery to the laptop turn the system on if this turns on without any error then your concern is probably ok and fixed.

>but if the system still does not power up having the battery connected to the machine a device on your system can or maybe damaged either the Battery or the Motherboard having an issue with the battery conencted to the machine...

if your system is in warranty call Lenovo and have it sent to teh service center for proper checking and repairs.

Lenovo g410 not charging

Hi,

This is going to be one of three things either your power supply is not giving out enough voltage to charge the battery, have you tried another psu?
If its not the psu then it could be the dc socket being loose on the mainboard or the fuse which controls the charging section has blown which means you need a replacement mainboard. Usually its either the charger or dc socket

Windows server 2003, lenovo 3000 g410

Hi. I think the only drivers for your machine is only for XP and Vista, Im a tech support technicain at lenovo and I have check the model of your machine and the only drivers available for this model is for XP and VISTA, you might want to consider using a different Operating system like XP or VISTA. You could find all the softwares and drivers available for your machine on this website consumersupport.lenovo.com, you just need to type in their the serial no. of your laptop and the exact model and it will output every software and drivers available for your machine, just remember to choose the correct operating system for your machine. Hope this helps

I have a lenovo laptop, 3000 G410. Recently it has a problem which it shut down by itself after I use it for 20 minutes. After the shut down, I turn it on and this time it work only 2 minutes and shut down...

This sounds like a overheating problem (a CPU thermal shutdown).
This is caused by a faulty fan or the heat-sink and fan is clogged with dust. Check the fan to see if it spins freely, if not replace the faulty fan. Check the fan/heatsink assembly and remove/vacuum the dust from these components.

Wireless

Check to see if there is a wireless switch somewhere on the laptop.

Some use the FN key plus the F2 key, but many laptops have an actual switch that you have to turn on.

Also sometimes it's turned off in the bios, but not often.
