Hoover H3000 Floor Mat
I have a H3000 Floor Mat the problem is it won’t pick up the water after the scrub clean the floor. What could be the causing the problem?

I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure.
The problem could be that the Hoover H3000 Floor Mat could be clogged or something is blocking the suction port or you may have a pinched line of some type of which would cause it to not pickup, feel free to check with a local vacuum dealer in your area or in the yellow pages or the Hoover factory phone number is listed below:

Hoover floor mate h3000 will not suction water from floor when cleaning

Your collection canister may not be positioned tight enough in its place ment site. Tip machine back using foot pedal (as if you were going tio start using machine to clean) Insert collection canister (bottom container, then insert top canister with solution. The two canisters must be flush with machine side seams and must sit in position tightly. This is sometimes very tricky and may take a little elbow grease to make it click into place. Hope this helps

Hoover floor mate sucks up water while in the wash position

They do that. They pickup the water in all stages but lower the squeegee to different heights. At no point does the suction turn off.

I am also having the same problem - it will not dispense the cleaning fluid - it is more work trying to get the thing to work than it is actually cleaning the floor.

I just took the dispenser out and splashed the mixed water and cleaning solution on the floor, it works well, but I'd rather use a good spray bottle on my next floor cause the splashed can cause spots, unless the floor is already wet. In addition this floor mate is slow if compared to a spray bottle and a sponge on your bottom foot, moping and sliding your foot over stains, and mopping up till clean and streak free. Furthermore, I used Murpys oil instead, its works good Im happy, and tired this job requires constant cleaning and rinsing of your mop bucket, with a one man team, alot of furniture and a piano its alot of work, but worth it at the end, later, going for starbucks for that pick me up.

Floormate will not **** dirty water.

Check the hose coming out of the floor assembly. It tends to split, keeping it from picking up the water

Brushes not contacting floor

It is unlikely that you have worn the brushes to the point that they no longer contact the floor properly unless you use it daily and have a very rough tile or concrete floor and even then they should outlast the machine. It is more likely that there is a problem with the switch that moves them up and down for different floor settings. Also remember that the brushes will be up while the unit is in the upright position no matter what the switch is set to only when you bring the handle down in the operating position do the brushes lower to contact the floor. Pull the brushes out and check to see nothing is interfering with the operation of the brush adjustment or for any broken parts. As for the squeegee they do get deformed and this will prevent the unit for sucking up the water properly so it should be replaced if needed. For any parts visit www.stevessewandvac.com if you don't see what you need listed email them someone can help.

Floormate Spinbrush

Not sure if this will help but these machines are ment to be used in one direction not back and forth like a vacuum cleaner. You should start in one spot and pull towards you slowly with the trigger depressed it is designed to spray scrub and pick up the solution all in one pass by going back and forth you are pushing the rubber across dry parts of the floor and it will make noises. I cannot figure out how to use my cleaner floor mate

At the risk of giving a simplistic answer, let me go through the steps I go through every time I use mine:
1) Plug it into the wall
2) Take out the upper "hopper" and fill it up to the fill line with hot water
3) Put in the capful of cleaning solution (about 2 oz.)
4) Gently swish it back and forth, then put back into upper unit until it clicks into place
5) For best results, set the vacuum on Dry and vacuum the house first, then clean the lower "hopper"
6) Set the vacuum to Wet, put the scrub brushes on, depress the trigger and do overlapping strokes, a section at a time I depress the trigger on the push stroke, then release it for the pull stroke. I clean a section, then turn off the scrub brushes and go over it again without the scrub brush or touching the trigger (trying to pick up as much water as possible).

On average, when refilling the water/cleaner solution for the top hopper, empty and clean the lower hopper. When the floors are finished, completely clean that lower hopper or it will smell!

Hope this helps...

You should first check to make sure that the machine is set on wet pick up and not dry. When in dry mode ( the front foot pedal on the left side) the machine is held slightly above the floor. When is wet mode, the squeegees drop down to the floor. The other problem may be the wheel assy is broken. Turn the machine over and check the black plastic wheel carrier at the back of the assy to see if the pivots are broken.
