Frigidaire window airconditioner is leaking inside the house. It is also runing out the back as it should.

The air conditioner should be installed so the front is slightly higher then the back, in otherwords, the water in the collection tray should flow to the rear of the unit so it can drain. If it doesn't, then mold can form in the tray causing shells and health issues.

How to get rid of cigarette smell in car vents

Use air fresheners to eliminate smoke smell. After cleaning out the car, raid your pantry for odor eliminators. Dryer sheets placed under seats will help freshen the air. Also consider putting an open box of baking soda or a bowl of kitty litter in the car to absorb cigarette smell

VY commodore smelly air conditioner

Probably a build up of grime, mould, cigarette smoke(if you smoke in the car)_ etc etc. The air intake is under the passenger side. On some models , there is a filter that can be removed and cleaned, you would have to check with your Owners manual or a Dealer. There are cans of air con deodorisers available from Air conditioner parts stores (Actrol, Heatcraft , Airfridge etc) Spray the can into the air inlet of the air con whilst running. It kills anything bad and cleans and sterilises the air con. These cans are about $45 to $50 each, but they work better than unloading a can of Glen 20.

Why smoke coming from manifold

Check around the distributor cap. Commonly drips from around the base of the cap and onto the manifold, causing smoke and a stink.

Also seen it leak around the oil cooler at the base of the oil filter. You will need to remove the air filter housing to get at this area, but not too hard.

Getting a cigarette smell coming out of the air vents. Just bought the car and didn't notice a smell before.

getting rid of cigarette smell is nigh on impossible, without taking down the whole dash/heater matrix/a/c system.and steam cleaning the whole could try an aerosol spray(from a dealer)that you spray into the outside air vent, but that only maskes it,unless it is very strong.(the nicotine sticks to everything)smoking should be banned in cars......same as cellphones.....
