Dell xps error code 2000-0141 and i run dell systems check and rogram cant no find my hard drive and is beeping few times when i restart any body know the best way to know if is hard drive problem or ?

Not sure on the beep side but this is what the lights code refer too.

Ensure that all hard drive and CD/DVD drive cables are properly connected to the system board.
If there is an error message on the screen identifying a problem with a device (such as the floppy drive or hard drive), check the device to make sure it is functioning properly.
If the operating system is attempting to boot from a device (such as the floppy drive or CD/DVD drive); check system setup to ensure the boot sequence is correct for the devices installed on your computer.
If the problem persists, contact Dell (see "Contacting Dell" in your Owner's Manual).

To determine if your hard drive is bad or good, run the Dell diagnostics.

Code 0146 is hard drive read/write failure.

Replace the hard disk drive

The hard drive has failed. If you're in warranty, contact Dell for a warranty replacement of the drive - it's a customer-replaceable part.
If you're out of warranty, look on ebay for a good deal on a brand new hard drive for your Dell Inspiron 1525

Resolution is simple enough. 2000-0146 is a read-write failure of the hard disk drive. You will need to replace the drive and reinstall Windows and your drivers. You can get a Replacement HDD here is the system is no longer in warranty:

If you are getting a 146 error, the HDD is failing. Back up your data, as you can then replace the HDD. No amount of tools or SW is going to change the fact that the drive is dying

if you bought this from dell, use the restore disks that came with it starting with disk one. you wont be able to save your files bt at least you will have a usable computer. i have an XPS studio 16 and had to do the same thing.

don't reboot instead reinstall the windows may solve this problem.i recommend ur xps laptop use windows vista ultimate because its have great performance i heard.

try to remove all external device connected to your computer. just leave the keyboad, mouse and monitor connected.
restart computer.
if still a blank screen
remove everything connected to your computer (mouse kyeboard and monitor) restart if nothing happens
open your computer and remove all devices (hard drive, optical drives, memory... restart,,, you should be hearing beeping sounds indicating motherboard is looking for memory. try putting back 1 memory at a time and checking all mem slot. to identify if one of the memory could be causing the blank screen. if both memory will not work try to use known good working memory. if you dont get to hear the beeping sound using a known good working memory. your memory is the problem.
