I have a Brother P-Touch

I have a Brother P-Touch 85 Label Printer and the "clear" button does not work. I have had it to bits and the continuity from the button contacts to the processor seem to be ok. Is there an "Initialise" sequence to reset "Factory Defaults" on power-up?
