Game not working?

When I push the cartridge in and turn on the gba gameboy comes on the screen but where it says nintendo is all scrambled and it just stays on the screen. Is it a faulty cartridge or dirty contacts? I tried another game and that one works fine. Thank you

I tried that repeatedly I think it was just broken. I am not sure but I believe it was a cheap bootleg. Never buying gba games without a picture of the actual game from ebay again. Same old deal if the price is too good to be true it probably is.

My gameboy startup screen is the startup screen for the gameboy color

That's normal. The gba will play all three generations of game boy games. The start up screen that comes up is that of whichever cartridge you are putting in.

Ive turned on my pokemon emerald gba game but the screen that says gameboy is just frozen there leaving no nintendo logo

Here is the perfect solution, : Guess what, that happened to my 30 minutes ago when i felt like playing my gameboy with pokemon emerald. This is an easy to solve problem, and it will work every time. This is a step by step procedure please follow the instructions one step at a time !! :::

Step one: Close the gameboy and take out Pokemon emerald
Step two: Blow into the bottom of pokemon emerald [to get dust out]
Step three: Blow into the place where you place pokemon emerald
Step four: Put it back in and test it, it the nintendo sign is all blury and weird, continue
Step five [Only do this if it still isnt working] Keep turning off the game boy and turning it back on
These problems are caused by damage done to the system or dust in the game cartridge.
If this hasnt worked,, Try it again :)

Do you need a cartridge to make it work? I bought one at the goodwill and looks new, but came without a cartridge. I plugged it in, and put in new batteries and it does not turn on at all. Is this...

Yes you do.
For games (cartridges) for your GBA, go to a Game Stop, they sell video games--ask for Gameboy Advance games.
You could also try amazondotcom or ebay.

No image on Gameboy Advance SP

It is possible to buy another Screen for the GBASP, however it would probably be less work and less trouble just to go to your local Gamestop and buy a new SP for 40 bucks.

You need to contact Nintendo to do that, or a game store to see if they do repairs. I don't advise you to do this at your own risk.

Problem with screen

Hi it sounds like the screen is faulty or your batteries are flat which I doubt you can buy a second hand GBA for around £15 on ebay this should then be quite straight forward to switch screens. hope this helps follow link http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ARCTIC-ICE-GAMEBOY-ADVANCE-GBA-CONSOLE-MINT-SCREEN_W0QQitemZ120146139392QQihZ002QQcategoryZ112698QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
