Oil squirting into carb

Pcv valve broke in top of motor. was pumping oil out of broke valve. Replaced pcv valve. Line is plugged at top of carb has a T in line with leg of T pointing at carb rest of line runs behind carb housing into another T one end toward oil tank other end to another T one end to drain plug and the other one to oiltank. Oil is pumping out of line directly into carb. Are these supposed to burn a mixture of gas and oil

No. Pull the pcv lines apart and remove any restrictions or garbage that might be in them. The end of the line that goes toward the back of the motor MUST BE VENTED TO ATMOSPHERE - you should be able to blow through it without any restriction.

SOURCE: pcv bypass and carburetor hook up

As far as the breather to the top of the engine goes, just pull off the hose and replace it with a small breather filter and you are good to go. Sorry, but can't help with your vaccum diagram.

Pcv valve on 2008 colbalt

Oil from the oil pan moves to the cylinder head with the aid of an oil pump. The suction pipe of the pump is immersed in the oil pan. It has a fine mesh filter at its tip.

Remove the oil pan and clean the filter. If still not ok you need to have a look at the oil pump.

FYI. The PCV valve's function id to relieve pressure inside the cam cover.

1998 Chevy Malibu is using excessive oil. Had an oil change done back in October 2012 . Then checked Oil level in December of 2012 and was about 3/4 low in oil! why ?

first thing check make sure oil pan drain plug tight. check make sure oil filter tight. try tighten oil filter by hand see if turn tighten oil filter clockwise direcction if all is good. how many miles on vechicle.could have oil leaks park vechicle in spot that clean.move vechicle see if you see oil spots on ground if yes.your front timing cover seal leaking oil or rear main oil seal ;eaking.or valve cover gaskets leaking.if find no oil leaks more likely engine burning oil.replace pcv valve.check air filter if you see oil in air filter housing either have bad pcv valve or pcv not getting vacuum make sure pcv valve getting vacuum when engine running vacuum should be felt at pcv if not pcv valve bad or pcv hose disconnected broken or plugged.if pcv valve okay engine has worn piston rings.worn valve seals or guides or oil return holes stopped up thats all possible reasons for engine burning oil.if spark plugs oil fouled engine burning oil.

My 2000 chevy cavalier 2.2 4 cylnder has an high amount of back pressure in the crankcase ,if u pull of the oil filler cap with motor running it spits oil out and what seems like smoke ,it doesnt run hot...

check the PCV valve, If its plugged you'll get the same results, most back pressure in motors of any type is oil pump, defective check valve in the filter section , try this, remove the PVC valve and the oil cap at the same time and block the vacuum line to the PVC hose, this eliminates the PCV system, and see if that reduces the back pressure, the only other thing it could be is bad rings ( just a note, did you recently start using synthetic oil ?)

1990 ford 2.9l in a bronco II- it has no power and oil is pumping up and leaking out the top of the oil dipstick. was told it has a blown head gasket but no water in the oil and the engine does not smoke....

Remove and plug the PCV valve hose with bolt to check and see if this is the issue, many times the crankcase is not venting properly and the PCV valve needs replacment it is inexpensive enough just replace the PCV valve located on one of the valve covers it has a hose going to it.

How to replace a PCV valve on my 1997 dodge neon? I travel over 60 miles a day and when at stop lights i have a light rough idle. Just replaced the plugs and wires 15k miles ago and the air filter 500...

Once you have the new PCV valve locate the old one on your engine. It will sit on the middle of one of your valve covers (most likely passenger side) and will have a line that connects to the top of the valve. Simply pull the old one out and put the new one in snapping that line on the new one. Should only take about a minute to do. Hope this helps, let me know if it does.
