My car stereo, ( Panasonic Cq-c511u ) shuts off @ exactly 9min 30sec every time i use it. There is still power to stereo when it shuts off. I have to either remove the faceplate for a couple minutes or eject a cd ad put it back in to be able to turn it back on. After getting it to turn back on it will again shutt off @ 9min 30sec. Any suggestions? Is there a security feature to this stereo I don't know about? I bought this car with it already in it, so I don't have the mannuel. Thanks!

I would get an stereo installation kit from Auto Zone or a local automotive audio store. It will come with the surround for the new stereo to fit where the old stereo went, and a wiring harness to hook the new stereo up to and plug into the existing car wiring.
are you running the rest of your speakers off an amp? if so, it sounds like you have the amp remote wire connected to the power antenna wire. on some radios there is an amp remote wire and a power antenna wire. the power antenna wire loses power when not listening to the tuner (radio). usuall there is a solid blue and a blue with white stripe. the blue with a white stripe should be amp turn on.
Need to Know what shuts off. Power or audio just Shuts off.
If Power is cutting off try disconnecting all speakers see if it stays on. If it does connect 1 speaker at a time if you hear a pop when connecting any of the speakers or when fist turning on you probably have on side of speakers grounded (common ground) this radio is not designed to have any speaker be grounded since each speaker wire is at a 6v potential. Do all speakers produce proper sound when stereo is working if not whatever speaker isnt may be defectve. Just a couple of many possibilities. email@example.com
You may have one of this two problems:
One of the speaker wires is grounded to the chassis.
Or your car may have a factory amplifier between the radio and the speakers.
My suggestion is to rewire the speakers lines
There is for sure a hook up problem my friend. There should be a memory wire that always has power to it even when the car or the ignition is off. Then there is a switched type wire that only comes on when the cars ignition is on. Check both of these wires in the car. Check the car wiring diagram to confirm this. To confirm the wiring in this vehicle, I
Good Luck with this install. And if all else fails, don't take a chance and blow out the unit, take it to a pro to be installed. Good Luck found the right wiring diagram for your car. Confirm this wiring diagram with this one you have. Go here:http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/stereodetail/955.html
