I asked you to give me "info" on your machine so that I know, what type of OS you have so that I can tell you which TECHNIQUE you must use to imply your BSODOD ? Must I assume you have XP, Vista, 95 or DOS ??? Well, anyway, go ahead and try this one; might just be your lucky day...

    Enabling blue-screen on demand feature:

    • open regedit

    • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\i8042prt\Parameters

    • Create a value with the following details:

      Data Type:
      DWORD
      Value Name:
      CrashOnCtrlScroll
      Value:
      1
    • Restart your machine

To use your BSODOD, right-hand CTRL key and pressing scroll-lock twice.

    Kind Regards,

    Stef

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Windows XP Pro installed but computer boots to Home Edition

It sure is possible.
I would take it back to them and demand that WINXP Pro is put back in there and it boot correctly
They saved about 50 bucks putting in WINXP Home.

Sounds like a bunch of rookies trying to pull a fast one.
