Re: Image runner 5020 will not print or copy
Hello Ernest T,
If the main thermistor which monitors the temperature of the fusing unit (that hot as hell area) is out of postion this problem can occur. The thermistor determines when the fusing area is hot enough to allow the copier to display"READY". If it is backed away from the fuser roller it cannot reliably read the temperature and it may cause the copier to display suspended because it reacting as if because of a long copy run it could not keep up the temp and so it "suspends" as it tries to ramp the temperature back up. Make sure the thermistor is touching the fuser roller.

Not at all certain what your question refers to. The Hp Image Runner 400 is a black & white copier. What do you want to do that you are unable to do? Have you previously been able to do what you wanted with this copier, but can no longer do the same? What happens when you try to copy a document? Does the copy come out blank, or all black? Are you getting a large black area on a 8.5 x 11 inch sheet of copy paper when you attempt to copy something that is smaller in size, and therefore wasting lots of toner? Please explain your problem in detail, or no one will be able to help you. Thanks
this one is easy... there is a button on the control panel that says counter check. its not very big but all you have to do is push it and it will display all the copies large and small and a total for them.
ls lt an image problem? image problem can be occurred if the solid black part of the image is on top. try to reverse the image by scanning it invert the image on the other side meaning the solid part be placed at the bottom.
When the ROM Error message is displayed on the control panel, this
will indicate an issue with the Flash DIMM on the Image Processor PCB.
re-flash the system software for
that specific model. If system software does not resolve the error,
replace the DIMM Assembly. When replacing the DIMM, you may be required
to flash the system software to it's latest version.
iR 2010F FG6-9454-000, Dimm assembly.
As a temporary work around, power on the iR while holding down the
STOP key. This may boot the iR to a ready state and copies can be made.
