This is a very common failure on these projection sets and a fairly simple DIY fix. All projection sets including Samsung, RCA, Sony, Philip Magnavox, Panasonic, Pioneer, Akai, GE, JVC, Toshiba, and others at some point will have the same problem.
Common Symptoms include....
Screen looks 3D
Colors don't line up
One or more colors can't be adjusted when using the convergence menu.
Screen is bowed or warped.
TV shuts off after powering on. Power light will blink. TV may also make a chirping noise.
Ur tv projection bulb that in ur tv right now?The bulb in the tv right now been in used for 1 1/2 or 2 years in use?The tv been watching like every day like 4 or 5 hours a day?The bulb life span is over, must change the bulb.
Sounds like you're blessed to have a tv like that!
Some sets have settings that will cut down the sound during a commercial. Haveyou looked at your owner's manual? This tv may have setting to cut out the picture also when commercials come on.
From a technical view point generally commercials have stronger signals than regular programming. This may be overloading your set.
If this is the case, then you need to have it checked by good technician. A poorly operating power supply (not regulating properly) could possibly cause a problem like this. Also automatic gain control circuits could be not working properly.
This indicates that the shutdown circuit has triggered the shuting down of your TV. This could denote a problem in the low voltage or high voltage power supplies. I would suggest taking the Tv to the repair shop or having a tech come over to your place and give you an estimate.
