Load main image filed switch to recovery mode

When i turn my player on it keeps telling me load main image filed switch to recovery mode

You need to update the firmware on it..i had the same problem but then it started working again once i added the firmware to it

follow the above steps but turn on the power button if nothing is happening. It's the only way I got my e280 to recovery mode

Run the recovery tool from the SanDisk website. Make sure you select "format" when prompted. http://www.sandisk.com/Assets/File/Downloads/firmware/e200fw01.00.12.exe You need to put the device into "recovery mode" before you run the tool. - Turn the device off (hold power for 20 seconds) - Slide the hold switch into "hold" position. - Press and hold the "record" button while connecting it to your computer. Keep holding the "record" button until you see the "new hardware found" on your computer. Then run the recovery tool. Select format when prompted. Best of Luck.

remove ur batery and replace it or download the file archieve.exe and install audible folder.then u can switch on it.

Recovery mode


a back door to recover the system With the power off, switch hold to on (and leave it on) and press and hold the record button on the left side. Now turn on your Sansa while still holding the record button. The unit will power up in recovery mode. Now connect to your PC. A folder 16mbFORMAT will appear under 'My Computer'. Call SanDisk technical support for the most up to date firmware files.1-866-SanDisk

You need to do the following:
1. Go to recovery mode by setting the hold mode to hold ,then press record button and power/menu button.
2. Connect to computer with USB cable as per meassage on sansa
3.Download an mi4 file from http://daniel.haxx.se/sansa/mi4.html for your model
4. copy this mi4 file to the 16MB partition that appears for your sansa.
5. Disconnect then power down and on again.

My Sansa e280 forze


Try plugging the player into the computer and formatting it. This will erase the music from the player, but you have a copy of the music on your computer as well. I think this will solve your problem.

Recovery mode is used to recover from a fatal error.

Follow these steps and youll be back in business.

Run the recovery tool from the SanDisk website. Make sure you select "format" when prompted.
