Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console
I have been playing Call Of Duty 4 online fine the last few months until the other day, now when I join a game it constantly shows the Connection Interrupted message and kicks me out of the game. My broadband connection is fine because I can surf the net no probs. I am using a bog standard SAGEM router (from Sky). Is this the problem?
I was told by playstation customer service to diable the media server under network settings and then reconnect my internet connecions.

This is a very common problem as of late. The theory circulating is that Infinity Ward has cut back the number of servers that support the online play for COD4. I myself play that game all the time and have the same exact problem. Some days are worse then others but I just room jump and I always seem to find one that I can play in for an hour or 2.
I hope this helps. Good luck!!

I dont think its a PS3 problem, I think its an internet prob. cause mine signs off when i got the net plugged to my PS3. if someone rings my home phone, the net will cut out on the PS3. so its not really the PS3. it could be the line filters connected to your phone line.

Just a wild guess (After playing alot of blizzard games) Usually when they cut back on servers to test a new game like COD5 this happens alot, the players are being bounced between servers to reduce lag in the gameplay but the issue is that the host player isn't supposed to do this and when it does he will get the disconnect issue, the rest of the players will be kicked from the game back into the lobby and a new host is given operator status of that lobby. Just a guess though. 3 cheers for crappy endgame maintenance!

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
