Question about PC Desktops

1 Answer

Hi I have problems with my Toshiba inbuilt speakers. They Crackle, or sometimes no sound at all. I've tried everything from unistalling the sound driver and reinstalling. But the problem still occurs. I also did a system backup and did a system restore. Which took my system back to how I first brought it. But my speakers still crackl when I play anything. This is really frustrating and now I've found another problem with my audio output. It crackles and the sound comes not only from the inbuilt speakers but also from the speakers I have pluged into the laptop. Please help me Eric.

Sound on pc cracklin

Start by plugging in the green audio jack into an mp3 player or even smartphone and test the speakers. If they still crackle then I would say replace the speakers. If they don't crackle then try going to Dell's website, search your model and update your audio driver.

My inbuilt sound doesnt work but when plug to a speaker it works. why is it like this?

On the spec sheet from Dell it says you have to have selected monitors with inbuilt speakers for sound. The monitor model that you have may not have inbuilt speakers.

the problem can be easliy solved if yo le me know the operating system and model no of your PC or the sound card...or the motherboard...if it has inbuilt sound card
alternatively you can also Install the missing drivers for the sound if you ru the Motherboard/drivers CD..it should autodetect and install

However you may also try openning Deveice manger o your system and try to update the drivers online
for that
Click START..Click RUN and type devmgmt.msc
In the device manager window..lokk for other devices and right click and click on update

Have you checked the device in device manager? check if it has an explanation mark next to it. If it does the you will need to re-install the driver. If not does it crackle when you attempt to play audio?

Speakers work but crackle when in use with my dell 8300

Most likely this is because of a loose socket. Check to see if there's any dust or debris inside the audio socket(s). If cleaning it/them out doesn't work, then the socket is loose and the only way to fix the problem would be to get the sound-card repaired or buy a new sound-card.

It's my opinion that buying a new sound-card would be cheaper. You can find a good amount of them at this website. Simply navigate to Computer Hardware>Input Devices. Now on the left click, "Sound Cards." Watch out, though. There's a link labeled, "Sound Card Accessories." However, it doesn't lead you to the same page.

Let me know if I can assist you further or if I need to explain anything mentioned above in more detail.

Crackling Speakers

Hello,

That because maybe due to your itunes player which the installation got error..please try another player other than Itune or play it in windows media player or some other player which you think good player.

Or try reinstall your player or update it.

if this not resolve the issue, then verify the connection of your sound card maybe got grounded to other components making the sound crackle..Or you may try attached a grounding wire from your stuff directed to the ground or attached in any metal that is connected to the ground to eliminate noise.

please tell me what ever result for further analysis

No sound

Check the easiest things first, sometimes we overlook the easiest and assume the hardest things first.
Did you plug the speakers back into the right port? It is the pastel green port. Is there a volume control on the speakers? Check that too. Any problems let me know. Tell me how you made out, and please rate my answer.
