I turn my monitor on and it stays on for a little while than it goes black and I have to move the mouse back and forth to get it to come back on and it has VGA on the screne. What does this mean

How long is "a little while"
Does the message stay on screen, or come up, then go away a few seconds later?

Use these steps
1. Rightclick on the Desktop
2. Click Properties
3. Click ScreenSaver Tab
4. Click Power
5. Turn on Monitor - Never
6. System Stand by - Never
7. Click Apply
