Mine says CONversion, what version are you trying to set?

Card error

Due to the broadness of this issue, I can only give you information based on what I know.

Cameras made within the last few years usually always have card problems. They supply you with a 16Mb card just enough to get a few pictures on. When the user buys a different card, the usual error is either card read error, card error, or simply just not reading the card.

First, if you can buy the brand of card supplied with the camera it's highly suggested you do so. As much sense as it doesn't make, certain cards only work with certain cameras. To avoid costly purchases consult the sales rep at the store. If they seem like they think they know but have an uncertain tone don't trust them because they're just trying to get you to spend money. Take your camera in and ask them to literally check to see if their recommended card works.

If you continue to get this error you may have a defective unit in which case you should consult the camera company regarding your waranty.

Overall it's a great camera and you shouldn't have any other issues with it. From personal experience Samsung makes great products and they're built pretty sturdy and with excellent detail in enhancing their product's performance.

Good luck and please rate my solution accordingly.

Don

I just bought a new memory card but I keep getting "Internal Memory Full" message. How can I fix this problem.

Your camera is supported by: Memory card support : SD/MMC up to 2 Gigabyte. If you are using any other card your camera might give you an error message such as this one.

Try to format the memory card in my camera? NOTE this will delete all existing data on your card.
Do the following:
  1. Insert the memory card into the camera. Make sure the card is firmly seated (push in the card until it clicks into place).
  2. Turn on the camera.
  3. Press the Menu button, then go to the Setup Menu.
  4. Scroll up or down to the Format option, then press the OK button

Hi i have a samsung s750 but i can't take pictures because the screen is blank so i don't know what i am taking

Hi, I can help you. First, make sure you can see the menu by turning the camera on and pressing the menu button. If you can see the menu, scroll to the right to reach the setup menu.
Then scroll down to Quickview and then scroll right. Then scroll down to 3 sec and hit the Ok button.

That should fix your problem. If I can help you anymore, let me know, and thanks for coming to FixYa. Don't forget to vote my solution a fixya.

To the person with the camera showing low batteries even when they are new, make sure the battery door is on tight. Over time with use, the door can get loose. If it's loose, it will not make a good connection with the batteries and freeze up. Hope that helps. Let me know with a comment if you need more help. And don't forget to vote!

My camera has never been dropped why isn't my flash working?

Hi jlapread

If your camera is giving you a `E91` error on screen it could be a faulty flash module and need replacing at a Sony Service Center. Contact your dealer for info.

But, before you do that try steps 1 and 2 below.

Here is some things you can try:

1. If it is only a setting you can select the `green` camera for auto shooting and then press the `UP arrow key until the flash sign is shown on the screen. The screen will also say `Flash On`. Take a picture to see if it works.

If not proceed to `2` below.

2. Press the `Menu` button.
First select the `Green` camera on the selection knob.
Scroll with the right arrow to the little toolbox picture.
Once in the setup menu scroll down to the toolbox picture with a 1 under neath.
Press the right arrow arrow and then scroll to the `Intialize` option.
Press the right button and select `OK`.
Press the middle button on the arrow selector.
Camera now wants to know if you are sure, select ok.

You will now have to enter the date again and setup any `Program` settings you might want on the camera.

Now take the camera into a dark room - as it is now on `Flash Auto` and test to see if the flash works.

If none of these helped you, you can take the camera to a repair agent and get it fixed. I have replaced numerous of the flash modules at approximately a quarter of the cost of the camera.

Hope this information helps you.

Good luck

Problem with nikon coolpix 8700

Same problem that would not allow me to take a picture without pressing the LOCK button on my Nikon 8700. Here is how I believe I fixed the problem:

Turn the camera ON.

Press MENU button on your camera to bring up the menu.

Scroll down to SET-UP, open the SET-UP menu by scrolling right.

In the SET-UP menu, scroll all the way down to FUNC (Controls) on page 2/3 , open the FUNC (Controls) menu by scrolling right.

You are now presented with 2 options:FUNC and AE-L, AF-L)

Select the FUNC option by right scrolling.

Choose the 2nd option: i.e the mountain, flower and timer icon (distance, macro and self-timer icon) by right scrolling.

Press the MENU button to get out of the menu.

Attempt to take a picture without pressing LOCK.

Should work! Anyways, it worked for me.

Cheers.

Zoom lens won't come out

If the lens will not come out, i need you to try this steps first before sending it in for SVC.

Improper battery connection might be the reason why there is not enough power for the lens to come out and open.

Recommended batteries are just:
- Alkaline (Non-rechargeable)
- Nickel-metal Hydride (Rechargeable)

Just set the proper battery type by:
- Pressing MENU/OK button
- Scroll to the right until you are in SETUP 2
- Keep on scrolling down and look for battery type
- Press the right button to pick up on 2 options
like Alkaline and Ni-MH
- Press MENU/OK for changes to be saved
- Keep pressing MENU/OK to get out of the MENU

Once, it's done, camera needs to be turned off for a few seconds
so that settings made will be refreshed with the camera.

As you turn camera on, you're now ready to take many pictures.

About the warranty, basically you do have a 1-year Limited Manufacturer's warranty and it will start from the date of purchase. And if that expires, there is a usual charge of about $50-60. You'll be seeing the payment upon the creation of the online service request through www.samsungcamerausa.com and just click on Customer Service then Option 2.

Hope this works.
