Re: I have a Brivis Ducted Heating MPS series and this...

Hi, This is what I found for you: Error code 50 Error 50 indicates the unit has locked out after 4 ignition attempts error 46. This error can be reset by using the reset button to restart the heater, but the unit will probably lockout again if the condition has not been rectified. Check List: ? Refer checklist for error 46. Error code 46 & 55 Error 46 indicates that the unit has failed to light within the specified time. Checklist: ? Check the gas supply is turned ON at the meter, and the appliance gas ****. ? Check if other gas appliances are operating such as Gas Cooker and Hot Water Service. ? Check the gas cylinders have gas, and the cylinder valve is open (LPG only). ? Check that there is gas supply to your home. Contact your gas provider to confirm this. There may be works in your area or a problem with the supply. ? The unit may require a general service. you need a new thermocouple. u can either get one from a plumbing store but the can be a bit fiddley to fit or u can get the proper Brivis one it just pulls out and u put the new one in. then u have to re light the pilot light. make sure u hold it down for at least 45 sec to make sure that it is getting hot enough when u release it it will stay alight then turn gas valve to the on position

Brivis ducted heater He20 (LPG fuel ) sooty flue & smells of gas

Inproper air/fuel mix, not enough air getting into burner. This is a dangerous situation, Possable causes inclide blockage in air intake and wrong gas supply. get an expert to look at it.

Burners on our Brivis Buffalo 52 Ducted heater aren't getting gas

test thermosat for proper operation ie-broken wire-power if good jump stat and check if unit goes on if it does than stat internal problem or wiring problem and needs replacement or repair --if stat good check fan safety/high limit sensor if good would need to check and test thermocouple thats the tube that the pilot flame burns on may be enough to keep pilot burning but not enough to open valve for heat demand

Brivis ducted heater making a banging noise every time it lights the burners

The heating system has a number of burners which must ignite as soon as the heater starts. When one or more burners does not fully or partially start properly, unburnt gas fed to that burner accumulates in a small pocket until is is eventually ignited causing a small explosion. This condition is caused by restricted/blocked burner jets. The gas jets are small and easily fouled by spider nests or other items sucked into the system. You will need to have the heater serviced by a qualified gas plumber.

Cannot start the Brivis heating device

I have been without heating for the past month since the fan motor in my ducted gas brivis heater filled the house with smoke.
The guy replaced the fan motor, and then it had the same symptoms as yours.
After a month of various tradesman trying to work it out, it has come down to the "thermal switch" within the unit.
