I have since found your unit is around 7 years old. Please disregard my previous answer. Carrier numbers can be difficult.

My son has a noisy condenser fan on the carrier condensing unit, model is a BRC060360 and Im puzzled on this unit seer rating, any ideas? Also looking for a budget condenser fan for it?

Condenser fans are usually not very expensive, so I suggest you go to a carrier dealer and buy one as a spare part. Have you check that the fan is clean and none of the blades are damaged.

Just had AC tech charge $257 to replace capacitor on carrier 38ckco48300. tech also stated condenser fan motor may have been damaged with replacement cost of $500. can a condenser fan motor for this unit...

I don't know what part of the country you are in, but here in Okla. a condenser motor can be bought by the home owner for around $100. You should be able to go to any appliance supply house and purchase your own motor. Take the model and serial number with you, it may help. If you have a local carrier distributor, they should give you a users manual. Try your best to get a motor close the the same as what you have. Note the horsepower, rpm, voltage and take the fan blade with you in case you need a new one. Hope this helps. Mark

I live in Phoenix, AZ. I have a 2 story 2300 sq ft home built in 2001. I have two Carrier AC units outside on the side of the house. They are the originals. The Large unit (upstairs) model 38CKC042340 and...

T the upstairs is a 3 1/2 ton 10.0 SEER condenser, and the downstairs is a 2 1/2 ton 10.0 SEER condenser. You can use any 10 SEER Unit on replacement, but if you go any higher in SEER (efficiency), there is a possibility the unit will freeze up. The reason is because the indoor coil also has an efficiency rating (10.0 SEER). It is not a good idea to mismatch units when it comes to SEER. Otherwise, you can use any brand of unit, if you want to go higher in efficiency, you need to change the indoor coil as well. Hope this helps. Mark

The condenser fan for carrier xarios 300 is not

there is a run capacitor is probably bad.
you can purchase a replacement one from slakey brothers. However the capacitor will still have a charge after the power and wires are removed. after turning off the breaker use a long bladed screw driver and ground the electrical leads to discharge the capacitor before removing. take it with you to the supply house along with the model and serial number of the condensing unit.

What type of freeon gas does it take

There should be a nomenclature tag on the exterior of the unit by where the electrical enters the unit. It states the refrigerant type .

Can you tell me the manufacture year and seer rating of a condensing unit with serial # 4397e02306?

Carrier puts this info or their data plates and have for a few years now. If it's not on this one, it's pretty old. If over 12 years, it will be around an 8 SEER or less. I you can supply a model number of the condenser I will be glad to look it up in my data base.

Carrier air conditioner

Need the model no. It will be on the unit somewhere, on a plate on the back area, or if it's a unit with seperate condenser, the no will be on the condenser outside, or wherever it is.
