Question about Frigidaire GLTF2940ES Front Load Washer
The washer filled with water then stopped. i tried turning the timer to a different spot to engage it, however nothing happened or is now happening. there is a lite buzz sound and the door lock light is on but nothing happening. no sound of a motor either.
Same problem- quick fix- to release door anyway. Found the service manual online...First unplug power cord and remove bottom front panel. Reach underneath on the right side of the machine- there will be a white round plastic disk that you can pull downward to release the door lock and remove your wet clothes. I found a pen lodged inside which may have caused the 'glitch'. When I ran it again it did the same thing and locked at the same place. The service guy had to replace the door lock mechanism to permanently fix the problem.
