Need vista driver for Vuego

-   My HP Officejet v40 scanner worked fine with XP and will not work with Vista nor can I do the printer alignment.

-   The driver won't start. On startup, a message says automated run didn't start ( or something like that). If I want to use MiraScan, which worked perfectly well with XP, there's an error which Windows will try to find an answer to, but never does. "A problem" caused the program to stop. Windows messages are as uninformative as ever. I wonder why they bother.

I tried reinstalling the driver from the original discs, but no success at all.
