Kenmore 95024 Electric Range The self clean cycle Door stuck shu

Kenmore 95024 Electric Range The self clean cycle was on and we had an unexpected power outage. Now the door is locked shut and I am getting error code E1 F5, resetting the circuit breaker has not helped. How do I get the top of the ceramic cook top open to try to manually unlock the oven door and clear the code?

The E1- F5 error is a door lock error.

The control (TIMER) has likely failed in this instance - BUT...

Sometimes when you disconnect power to a range and reconnect it the electronic range control gets confused.
You should disconnect power again for 15 seconds and reconnect and see if that helps.

If it doesn't cure the E1- F5 error hold the bake button in until E0- F2 appears in the display.
This is the error for a stuck button on the keypad and is the way to clear the memory of the electronic range control.

Sometimes these work, but if the control has failed it won't make any difference.

Manual for model 790.45062401

Sears Parts Direct has the manual for the Kenmore 790.45062401 here: https://www.searspartsdirect.com/manual/69n6jkqbeh-000582/kenmore-79045062401-electric-range . Usually when a range beeps continuously, there is a communication problem between the key pad and the control board. It could indicate a short or a stuck key. That's part 20 on the backguard diagram: https://www.searspartsdirect.com/model/69n6jkqbeh-000582/kenmore-79045062401-electric-range-parts .

Since you indicate that the door lock has been triggered with the door open, try pressing the Stop/Clear button. (Note: holding the Stop/Clear button will trigger the control panel lock.) If that doesn't return the lock to the normal position, you probably have a fault in the lock mechanism. See parts 88 and on the body diagram: https://www.searspartsdirect.com/model/69n6jkqbeh-000582/kenmore-79045062401-electric-range-parts?page=3 . You can try to turn the latching rod by accessing the lock mechanism from the back of the range. (Unplug or turn the range off at the circuit breaker.) Since the lock mechanism gets a signal from the control board, check your wiring for damage. If needed, replace the lock or wiring.

I hope this helps. If your range is covered by a warranty, contact Sears/Kenmore or your extended warranty company.

How do i unlock after self cleaning my kenmore elite electric slide in 30"

Hello,Give it time for the oven to cool if it has just completed the clean cycle. The door is not to unlock if the oven is still too hot. If the oven is cool and the door will not unlock, program and start another clean cycle and after about two minutes press cancel/clear/stop and wait for another minutes to see if the door will unlock. If the door doesn't unlock i recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your range.
Thanks

40494 / 40495 / 40499 Electric Single Oven: have a kenmore self cleaning electric range it was...

The F9 code indicates there is a problem with the door lock.

Try disconnecting the power to the range for 10 seconds and reconnecting. Open the oven door and hold the door switch plunger in while you try these things. Put the control into clean for 5 minutes then cancel clean. You must hold the door switch plunger in for the 5 minutes.

Try canceling the clean cycle without putting the control into clean.

Can not open the door of the self- cleaning electric Range after cleaning operation

Unplug the unit or shut off the circuit breaker for 5 minutes. Plug the unit back in or turn on the circuit breaker. Set the clock and gently try moving the door lock lever (is so equipped) or opening the door.
or
Set the self-clean cycle again and only allow it to work for 15 minutes. Cancel the self-clean cycle and allow the oven to cool. Gently try moving the door lock lever (is so equipped) or opening the door.
If these procedures fail to correct the condition, the lock must usually be accessed and moved manually to open the door.
Some model ovens require the oven door to be manually unlatched before the controls are returned to the OFF position or else the door may not be able to be unlocked. Check the owner's manual for proper operating procedures

Want to open the door it was on self cleaning

An electric range, a Litton combo microwave and conventional kept the oven locked for 3-4 hours after the cleaning cycle and I think it is thermostatically controlled.

The temperature used to catalyse oven deposits is ~900 degrees F and takes a while to cool down.
