Hi , I do transfers all the time from VHSC to DVD. The best quality and editing abilities is obtained by connecting a package by ADS Tech called DVDXpress 2 to your computer. You can then either connect your palmcorder straight to that or play your VHSC CASSETTE in a normal VCR using an adapter such as JVC C-P7U.

I am not familiar with this unit, but if it has a analog video output, you can try uploading VHS video to your computer for transfer to DVD

You might need to access the computer's DVD record menu to see what record source to use. If it has this utility, there will be several to choose from. You might also consult your computer manual for possibilities

I have HP computer with Windows Media but, my version seems to be corrupted. I have tried to use it but the promgram locks or crashes. When I want to transfer to DVD, I use Record Now.

it seem to offer more options. I would recommend it

Panasonic DMR E55 Won't record AT&T U-Verse programs!

Make sure you only use the correct type of discs: DVD-RAM or DVD-R for recording and DVD-RAM, DVD-R, DVD-Video, DVD-Audio, Video CD, CD-Audio (CD-DA) and CD-R/RW (MP3, CD-DA, Video CD formatted discs) for playback.

DVD-RAM disks are in plentiful supply on eBay, both new and used. Keep an eye open and you should pick them up, new, for less than £1 Sterling each!

I am unclear, though, what you mean about recording to and from the VCR. The DMR-E55 doesn't have a VCR facility, just DVD.

How do I play a JVC EHG tape ?

There is a VHS cartridge for a JVC EHG 30 VHSC tape. It's called a Panasonic PV-P1 Adapter, and think you can find one on eBay. I've used one before, and from what I remember, it worked pretty well. The only bad thing about it is that you need an AA battery to operate it. Well, I hoped this helped, if you still need it.

My VCR is egecting the tape with the casstte adapter.

The cassette adapter uses 1 AA battery. When you place your VHSC tape into the adapter and close the cover, you will hear the motor running and the red piece on the adapter will move inside. Check the placement of the battery and make sure the clear shrink wrap has been removed from the battery
