There are two clips on either side which need to be squeezed together then the cover can be slipped back into position.

Have an Error 51 on Brother MFC-210C all in one printer?

I can help you with your Brother MFC-210C error 51 problem.

Error 51 refers to a paper jam error.
Clear the paper jam to clear the error code.
If the error code will not clear after clearing the jam, resetting and powering off, the printer may require service.

I hope that helps.

My printer jammed. I removed the paper but the screen said to see the trouble shooting guide in the owner's manual. I unplugged it for a while. Now it says "see the routine maintenance guide". I cannot...

Open the top cover and pull the printhead out of the right side to see if a paper scrap was left behind, also on the far left side, the head lies to push scraps into the corners. Pull off the back cover as well to look for scraps, after that the encoder strip could be out of position and you might need a shop repair.

Paper jam problem

Remove the back cover and put an index card thru where the paper goes, that should push out any left over scraps.

"unable to clean"

Hi dbostrander.
First check for foreign objects in the paper path. Check if you have any faxes in memory because you will lose them when removing power; see later.
Pull out the paper tray from the front and check for paper jams or torn paper anywhere inside the machine. Also check the 'jam clear screen' at the back of the printer. Remove the cover, remove any obstacle then replace ther cover. From the front of the machine lift the top cover from the right side till it is fully open on the slide. Check for jams. If the jam is under the print head you will have to disconnect the power (losing any faxes in memory *see below) to move the print head out of the way to clear the jam.Lift the scanner cover to release the lock. Gently push the scanner cover support down and close the scanner cover.
Check whether the MFC has faxes in
memory
1.Press Menu/Set, 9, 0, 1.
2. If the MFC has no faxes, disconnect the MFC
from the power source for several minutes
and then reconnect it then do as above.

—OR—
If faxes are present, you can transfer them to
another fax machine
If you have not set up your Station ID, you
cannot enter fax transfer mode.
3.Enter the fax number to which faxes will be
forwarded.
4.Press Mono Start.
5.After the faxes are transferred, disconnect
the MFC from the power source for several
minutes and then reconnect it.
You can transfer the Fax Journal report to
another fax machine by pressing Menu/Set, 9,0, 2 in step 1.

Hope this helps,
Mark.

If you are certain that you have removed all paper, try power-cycling your printer. Remove power cord and wait a minute or two then plug back in.

Printer says paper jam, but there is no paper in the printer. (mfc 210c)

If the paper tore when removing it, chances are there could be a small piece of paper still causing the paper jam. Sometimes all you need to do is turn the fax off for a few minutes and then turn it on again and the paper jam message is gone
