Try this , Right click my computer and select properties, hardware, device manager and look for the ?mark about sound device or audio and remove or uninstall it. After uninstalled click action and scan hardware changes. After scanning if the windows found the driver of your sound card it's install automatically but if they cannot find the driver you need to look the model of your sound card in search in the net to download.

The computer is telling me that there is no sound device, although there is a sound card which has worked fine up to now.

Hi,

You need to reinstall the sound card driver, go onto the Dell website and you can download it from there.

Hi clemsonfan1,

Hope you have a anti-virus and anti-spyware program. If so, run it and let it do it's thing. If not, you can download freeware programs and isntall it, run update, and scan.

Free version Bitdefender: http://www.bitdefender.com/media/html/trialpay.html

Free anti-spyware:
http://www.download.com/Spybot-Search-Destroy/3000-8022_4-10122137.html?tag=lst-1&cdlPid=10861988

Free anti-spyware:
http://www.download.com/Ad-Aware-2008/3000-8022_4-10045910.html?cdlPid=10844457

MS Defender is also good:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=435bfce7-da2b-4a6a-afa4-f7f14e605a0d&displaylang=en

Definitely use the anti-virus program and any two of the anti-spyware program.

Good luck

First U have to uninstall any programs installed by first mouse... control panel - add/remove programs.
Leave the new mouse attached.
Then U have to uninstall the old wireless mouse device...
control panel - system - hardware - devices
Reboot... when it detects the device, load the driver for the new mouse from the new mouse cd.
U can load any programs U want from the new mouse cd after insuring the mouse works.

Help with my pc

Go to the web site of the computer mnfr and download a new driver. If you have a CD with the drivers, use that. Make sure that you put the driver in a folder so you can find it. If it has a setup.exe use it. If not, tell your computer to look in the folder for the driver. Go to your control panel to add/remove hardware if you need to.
