HP Toolbox Error Toolbox is not available because the printer Driver is not installed.

Issue

After installing Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 on the computer, the HP Director software window does not display when attempting to open the software.


Solution


The following solution works excellently for me. I had already tried updating drivers and re-installing the software but these steps had no result.


HP advises using the following workaround:

1.       Double-click the HP Director icon to load the program into the memory. You will not see HP Director open at this step. Do not click anything else on the screen until Step 2 is completed.


2.       Press the Alt key and the Space bar together, and then select Minimize from the menu that displays in the upper left corner of the window. If necessary, click it again until HP Director minimizes.

The HP Director software now appears as an item on the Task Bar.

3.       Click HP Director on the Task Bar. The software opens and displays normally.


4.       Repeat Steps 1 through 3 every time the HP Director software is used.

NOTE: The HP Director window might appear a little smaller than normal, but the software is functional.

connect both a parallel cable and the usb cable. That was the only way I could make a LJ 3030 to scan to PC.

SOURCE: Where do I find the HP 3030 Toolbox software ?

If memory serves me correct, your printer came/comes with two/three disc's. Each for diff prods.
Do you have the setup disc's. if so, load disc/menu/extra facilities to load.

If not, got to www.hp.com Find were to enter you printer details, you will be able to download updates, be patient, con tak a little time, a lot of bytes.

this .dll file belongs to HP Digital Imaging Toolbox application i think if you go for costume installation you can get the option to not install the HP Digital Imaging Toolbox application ......try it........ best of luck ..........

Toolbox The Toolbox provides status and maintenance information about the printer. It also provides links to the onscreen user's guide for help in performing basic printing tasks and solving problems.
NOTE: The Toolbox is available for Windows computers only. If the Toolbox was not installed with the other printer software components, you can install it using the installation program on the Starter CD. HP LJ 3055 Toolbox Not Connected


Hi SaveWetland!

Without being able to see your machine, I'm going to make an educated guess at your problem. Many times, when a printer is used over a network, only the printer driver itself is actually installed on each user's machine. Utilities, such as the HP Toolbox, may not be installed. If your network administrator allows it, you could download and install the complete printer software package off the HP website, which I'm highly confident would solve your issue. If not, I'd advise you to contact your IT person and have him/her install the complete package for you.

HP deskjet 5550 sometimes prints and icon reads Toolbox not available because printdriver is not installed


thats easy! HP has a bad habit of screwing drivers up! List here what operating system you have, and the exact,with any letters behind the 5550, model number here and I'll get the drivers. I have almost every drivers for windows for that particular printer
