GX150 optiflex "setup utility" configuration

Craig,

If I follow you correctly, you are asking what setting you should have in the BIOS to make it Boot again.
Fastest solution is to return to the BIOS and use the option of "Load Setup Defaults". These are the settings that the Manufacture or the OEM Motherboard Manufacture would have used during setup.
With any luck, that should allow the system to restore to booting status.

I hope this helps.

How to work the webcam and find the webcam on this computer

Hardware identification is a crucial step when researching or troubleshooting your computer. Additionally, hardware identification is required when updating the drivers for your hardware. You might have an occasion where you need to learn more information about your webcam. While Microsoft provides the drivers for most types and brands of webcams, sometimes the driver provided is outdated. You can find information about your webcam and update its drivers through the Windows Device Manager.

Instructions
1 Load a "Run" dialog by simultaneously pressing the "Windows" and "R" buttons on your keyboard.
2 Type "Devmgmt.msc" (without quotes) in "Run," and click "OK." This opens "Windows Device Manager."
3 Click the arrow next to "Imaging devices" to expand a list of related hardware. Your webcam is listed by its name in this section. Continue reading to learn how to research further information about your webcam.
4 Right-click your webcam, and click "Properties." Look at the "Device Status" section. This area provides information regarding the status of your webcam. If the device has a problem, it will be noted here.
5 Click the "Driver" tab. This area contains the provider, date, and version number of the currently installed driver. If no driver is installed, it will be noted here. Click the "Update Driver" button, and follow the onscreen prompts to update your webcam's hardware-driver.
6 Access your webcam's main interface by typing "webcam" in the "Search" box on the "Start" menu and then pressing "Enter." Depending on the model, additional information and settings might be provided on this interface.

Computer will not boot.

Form the info you provided, you have a RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks) disk array. RAID 0 (striped disks) distributes data across several disks in a way that gives improved speed and full capacity, but all data on all disks will be lost if any one disk fails. Apparently Diagnostics has determined that “Drive 2” is defective. You will have to replace the defective hard drive and reload the Windows operating system.

Diagnostic Indicator

Beep codes and power LED status are pre-post errors. Usually beep codes indicate a problem with a memory module. Power LED is solid green for normal operation. Solid or blinking Amber color power LED indicates a power distribution problem.

THe keyboard has gone beserk... the up and down keys keep pressinf themselves.. also sometimes some keys just stop working... please help

your problem may have different causes:

1. if your keyboard is old, you may want to spend either money, on a new keyboard, or time, cleaning your keyboard as you may have some kung underneith causing the keys to stick.

2. do try another key board and see if that corrects the issue (get rid of the current problem keyboard). try the keyboard on another computer and see it works fine. if it does your problem may be with the connector on the motherboard, you may have to get usb keyboard or you may have to replaced your motherboard.

3. if your keyboard is a special new keyboard you may have to look for updated drivers for it instead of using the drivers that come with the operating system.. look into the keyboard manufacturer's website for updated drivers..

4. go to control pannel> keyboards and look into the hardware tab and look for properties, make sure the status of the device is "working properly" if not reinstall or updated drivers.

5. check your possible bios updates: if your keyboard is a ps/2 (mini 6 pin din). look for for updates for your bios on motherboard manufacturer website.

post more details of your device and issues and we'll try to help.

Put the MS Windows CD in the drive, restart the computer and make sure it's booting from the CD, then make a repair installation.
