I am having trouble down loading my pictures, which was not a problem before. I now show on my desk top ACDsee 10-ACDsee7- ACD photo editor and ACD see 10 photo manager.' there was also a message that there were certain files that could be affected . It did take me almost a half hour to down load my pictures to night, which was rather frustrating to say the least. do I have to many ACD programes how do I correct the problem. I am almost at the point of trying to find another system. Dave Wilson wilsond@mountaincable.net "why should I have to pay foe advice for product I have purchased from you"

Hello,
Uninstall the ACD and then restart the system, after restarting reinstall the ACd back to the system.

If your problem is only to copy or download pic from the camera to the PC. the computer detect automatically the camera and create directory drive in "my computer" you can simply browse my computer and click the directory created by the system (camera directory) and you can copy or select and copy the pictures into the computer folder you like.

hope this help,

Tell your picture editor where to download the pictures from. If you don't have an editor try FastStone Image Viewer. Very good easy to use free editor.

Acdsee 17

If you only tried importing to the program straight from the camera, you could try to import the pictures, using a card reader or by copying the files to the computer before importing into the program.

In addition to the basic JPG, BMP, GIF, etc. formats ACDSee 17 should support the following RAW formats:
  • CRW Canon
  • CR2 Canon
  • cRAV Sony
  • DCR Kodak
  • ERF Epson
  • HDR Creo
  • MRW Konica Minolta
  • NEF Nikon
  • ORF Olympus
  • PEF Pentax
  • RAF Fujifilm
  • RAW Casio, Contax, Leica, Panasonic, Pentax
  • RWL Leica
  • sRAW Canon
  • SRW Samsung

IPICS ON SD CARD DO NOT SHOW ON PLAYBACK OLYMPUS 8010

Many cameras will only display pictures taken by that camera (or at least the same model). Also, if a picture has been edited in any way (opening a pic in a photo editor and saving it without making any changes counts as editing) then the camera will not display it.

.HOW CAN EDIT A PICTURE

Hi, you can edit your Digital images with many Image Editors available today.

My personal suggestion is to use the freely available alternative to the Photoshop Software called GIMP which is short for Graphical Image Manipulation Program.

Download from the link below:

Nikon Coolpix 8800 and VISTA Ultimate 64

in Vista Nikon Picture Perfect is not a requirement   Any photo software will do.   I remove my chip and insert it into my printer to upload photos manually as though it were a hard-drive   i used to use the firewire and leave the chip in my Nikon d70s and let windows or the photo software of your choice offer to upload the photos for me.  Try Picasa or ACDSee Photo Manager and ACDSee Pro    peer to peer sites or torrents share these with cracks/serials for you to explore Picasa is free online

Optio E30 unable to download photos?

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use ACDSee or any other photo cataloging program.

Downloading photos from Canon 400D direct to Canons photo editing programmes on new windows Vista computer.

There are two ways to solve this problem. I am assuming you are simply clicking on the pictures and choosing "edit" or double clicking on the pictures and they are opening in "Vista picture editing"
The first way to overcome this is by opening the desired program first (in this case canon's photo editor) and then choose open and find the desired photos.
The other way is to set the file type association in vista so that RAW programs open with the canon program see below for step by step:
1. Click Start
2. Click default programs on the black bar
3. Click Associate a file type or protocol with a program
4. Find the file types you want to open automatically in your canon editing program (RAW .jpg etc)
5. Click once at the top of the page click change program
6. A new window will open, if it does not list the correct program click browse at the bottom of the window and find your editor in it's folder.
7. Select the desired program by double clicking
8. Click OK
9. Click close
10. Test the new file association by double clicking a RAW file or one of the other file types and see if it loads into the correct program.

The final (and this is simply my plug for open source programs) solution would be to try something like GIMP (it is a photo editing suite developed under linux but adapted for windows) you can search for it on google.

If you are having trouble with any of these steps please post a comment and I will try and add some clarification.
Hope this helps
