Converter box will not stay on - starts green light then switches to red

I have one of those right here attached to my computer so I can watch TV on the PC. The red-green light is the power indicator. Your converter is turning off for some reason. Possibly it is getting a signal from another remote, and turning off. You can block the converter's remote sensor with something (black tape works) and then change the channels with front panel buttons if it has them.
Mine has power buttons for both the TV and the converter, so watch out for that.

No sound and picture comes and goes

I had the same problem with my 7 year old Sharp Aquos 37 inch LCD TV and took it to the service center and replaced the panel board which costed me around 7000 INR (USD 100) and it has been 1 year and no problems whatsoever. Service center guys told me flicker of pictures is a indicator of the panel board issue. I had no other choice but to go with the recommended option or replacing a panel board or buy a new TV.

LCD2710HDAF television will not respond to remote control

Hi Alan,
Here are a few steps to troubleshoot.

1) Make sure that the new batteries are correctly installed.
2) Make sure that there is a line-of-sight between the remote and the TV while operating.
3)Not recommended- but might work. Give your remote a little shake. If there is a small circuit loose connection it will be adjusted. :P I do this all the time.
4) Buy a new remote. You can buy a universal remote which are available on the market. They are cheap. It will NOT be harmful to your TV.
you can buy a genuine one.

Screen issues

I think better to replace the set as all this sounds like a light engine failing.

I broke my Vizio 42inch E422VA screen. Can I have it replaced?

Yes but the cost to replace it will exceed the cost of a new set. I wish I would have come across your post earlier. I just sold a E422VA parts tv for $171 shipped with a mint LCD screen !!! your best bet would be to part it out. Either throw it on Ebay or try to sell it locally on Craigslist.

I am buying having 30 min left a lg32inch faulty broken screen 4inch crack damage. the seller is saying it is comes with guarantee and LG will repair but i am not sure that lg guarantee will reapir this...

The cost of repair will most likely be close to what the HDTV cost brand new. Even if LG did cover it, the glass is often not completely covered by warranty.Broken screens are the worst kind of issues to deal with when considering HDTVs. I would stay away from the actual tv until you get it repaired(health issues). I personally would not recommend buying the tv. If it was so easy to fix, then why didn't the current owner take care of the warranty issue before he decided to sell it?(could have made more $$$)
