Format error c:13:01 showing on

-   while taking photos this format error C:13:01 appears, if you turn off the camera and switch it on again the fault disappears but any photos taken after this point cannot be downloaded from camera.

-   Hello, I have a Sony Cybershot DSC S85. Suddenly it started to show this Format Error C:13:01 and it is not working any more. I thought it was the memory card but it is the camera cos I have tried with severals and all the time appears the same message. Is there anything I can do to solve it? Thanks-   hiquetal

-   Getting C:13:01 "Re-insert Memory stick" when insert the Memory stick PRO Duo.When I took it to Sony service centre,I was told that it cannot be repaired.Please help me to resolve this error.-   Guest

-   I have a MVC FD90 and I try to use it it runs like it wants to record on the floppy, but it then come up with that error c:13:01! What gives I have tried formating the floppy and nothing works! I have had this camera since 2000 and carry it with me hunting and fishing. Any ideas???-   murdam564

-   Having the same C:13:01 error on my DSC-F707. I was able to put the Sony 128mb memory stick in my Epson printer and recovered the pictures which leads me to believe that it might be an issue with the camera. So I called CSI camera repair in St. Louis and he said that it is most likely the circuit board that holds the memory stick reader and he would not do the work himself he would have to ship it out and it would cost about $200 to repair. So I guess I will be looking for a new camera.-   gorzie
