Please note that in the picture that Fixya uses in your question that the scope is actually POINTED at the ground! The focuser end should be on the UP end -- the scope in the picture is mounted backwards.
Ha!
The manual will not help you find objects in the night sky, nor will it advise you exactly which eyepiece you should use. You need to find a local astronomy club and have the members help you with your new telescope.
