The inside light is blinking quickly because the front blinker light is out. I'm afraid that without more info I can't tell you why the lights are out.

Does a 2005 Chevy Colorado have a turn signal flashing unit/relay? The right turn signal lamp illuminates when the brake pedal is pushed.

Sounds like your tail light board may be shorted, switch the board to the other side to see if the problem follows the board or stays on that side if so it could be a faulty turn signal switch.

2005 Chevy Colorado edit

If you put the tail gate down, there is 2 screw (phillips) that holds the tail light in place. Remove them & you can twist the bulb out. Thats it, put back together in reverse. Hope this helps.

Have a 2005 chevy colorado, i installed a four way harness exactly how the directions say, but when i connect the trailor only the right and left turn signal and taillights work. No break lights.

On the truck, are the turn signals and the brake lights using the same bulb, if the brake lights are using a different bulb the trailer might not work withe the truck if it only has a 4 wire plug, might have to add brake lights to the trailer and use a 5 wire plug, yes this means rewiring the trailer and adding lights
