In case you are using Win OS try to start in save mode. First the Bios is activated after pushing the power button. If you see the screen from the Bios start pushing F8 which brings you to the save mode start up. When your PC starts you can shut it properly by leaving the save mode. Try to start up the pc again in normal mode. I hope it will fix you problem
You should go to Control Panel --> Hardware and Sound --> Power Options --> Change plan settings --> change advanced plan settings.
Try configuring the setting for "Plugged in" and "On Battery" to be the same. That way your laptop won't go through wierd configurations when you unplug.
