How to install Kenwood KAC-1502S into factory 1998 Chevy Z71. I feel like I'm missing a wire.

There are a few things you will need. You will need a wiring harness, dash kit, and instructions. You can get them all at . The wiring harness will make wiring it up a breeze. The harness uses the standardized color code for the wires, but the harness plug is set up to match those wires to the vehicle. All you do is plug it in. The dash kit will have mounts and trim pieces to make your install look good and hold the radio in correct position. The instructions....well that's self explainatory. hope this helps

My battery died so my radio is locked up. i do not have lock code for it. i have another radio what is the best way to remove factory radio

You can get the code for the radio at your local dealer. You will need your VIN#. It may cost a little but is worth having the right code. If you are dead set on installing another radio, visit for instructions. It will cost a little but you will have them if you decide to change the radio again. If they don't have it, try and ask for them. Hope this helps.

Ok, are you asking for information on how to install it, or are you saying it's not possible. If you want to do it yourself, you will need the wiring harness, install (faceplate) kit, and instructions. There are several sites that offer step by step instructions for a small fee (I recommend). If you are lucky, you might find the instructions on youtube. Good Luck

Remote starter installation - disabled Bose car radio

It could be the stereo has an anti-theft lock-out that requires a code to be put in after the battery is disconnected. Your manual should have the code and instructions on how to enter it, or the dealer can do it.
Hope this helps.
