I have just bought the agfa snapscan e26 and i can't take two scans after
each other. When i want to scan a second photo i get an error that says
'communication failure, see log for further information'. In the log i find
then this: 'DataView Attach-Detach mismatch.Unable to save the user
configuration file'.
Then i have to shutdown my computer and wait approximately two minutes
before restarting my computer and then i can take another scan. I have
reinstalled windows, the scanner and the software but the problem stays. The
scanner uses scanwise 1.7 and is connected through usb and i have windows
98.
Can somebody help me with this?

I had same problem with Agfa e52 and Abit KT7A. I installed latest BIOS
upgrade and it solved everything.

I've already downloaded snapscan ver 2.0 but the problem stays. I've read on
the afga website that they have seen a significant number of problems with
PC mainboards based on the VIA Technologies KT133 chipset. I have a
K7VAT/VIA KT-133 mainboard. Has anyone else also had problems with that
chipset?

Try Snapscan ver 2.0 from AGFA web site. It is far from perfect but I
believe it cures this problem

You might want to look at where scanwise is sending the result. I have
done multiple pictures and slides but try sending them to a file
location!
