Question about Vacuums
There's a short circuit on the motor armature.. needs replacement but it can be repaired depending on the problem.

No, do not replace the motor, the copper wire just melted off, correct from right on the metal brushing on the end, correct?
Geta welder or a mig welder or just a welder guy to weld , he will weld for maybe just $10-$20 dollars, the $59 dollars plus shipping on the motor will be about 75-80 dollars....jeeze the motor is good, just one of the brushings are bad. Have it tack welded....easy quick place back in....

Either the carbon motor brushes are bad or the motor armature is bad. May have to replace the motor.
