Question about Lexmark X4270 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Lexmark X420 is not printing

My printer is scanning alright but it is not printing.
I tried everything but it doesn't work.....
The cartridges are new .....Please help My Lexmark x4270 was printing just fine, but one day it decided to quit. Now it will fax out just fine, but it doesn't receive fax and now it refuses to print anything. I've tried to download the software that it came with, but I guess I have to get rid of the previous download which it refuses to do. This is extremely frustrating.

Cancel all the documents first and follow the steps below.
Make sure that printer is communicating with the computer, Go to control panel and open system, click on Hardware on system properties windows, click on device manager. Check under Universal serial bus controllers if you have usb printing support when you click on the (+) sign- rignt click on it and click on uninstall, click yes to uninstall then unplug usb cable from the back of computer and replug it, try printing a test page from printers annd faxes window by going to printer properties.

    You need first to do the following:

    Check first a different usb cable (if it scans shouldn't be the case).

    Check that the printer is the default printer or you are not printing to a different printer installed in windows

    Do driver setup procedure.

    Disconnect printer from usb.

    Go to 'installed printers' and remove the printer from windows (right click and delete). If you have documents in printer cue you may need to purge documents in cue.

    Restart computer (printer disconnected).

    Re-install drivers from disk (printer disconnected).

    Only connect printer to usb when required by printer install software or after installing software.

    If the above did not work the printer can be faulty, in this case usually it shows some dignostic message, like flashing red light etc.

    Check also that is not a windows problem, by installing in on a different computer (get a laptop) and printing a test page.

Printer keeps giving alignment problem message


hello, remove cartridges, clean with something soft the wiring of both printer cartridge slot and cartridge itself, make sure you use alcohool, sanitary or even parfume wich dries fast and is not greasy, after that power up printer and check to see if everything is alright, if other error ocurs reply here.

Ran out of ink, changed the ink and the printer prints a blank paper...checked the ink everything is good...still nothing printing??


Make sure you are inserting genuine Lexmark cartridges.
Try to re-seat the cartridges into the printer. Remove the cartridges > close the printer cover > unplug / re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it > when the printer turns on, firmly reinsert the cartridges. Try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.
If that doesn't help, try to clean the print cartridge nozzles. Open the Lexmark Solution Center on your computer by going to Start menu > Programs / All Programs > Lexmark Z600 Series > Maintenance tab > Under Select a Maintenace tool, select Clean to fix horizontal streaks. > click Print. Then try to print a document again.

How do I correct this printing problem? My colored letters on the page print. Black print doesn't print onto the paper. I have a lexmark z615 printer.


Try to clean the print cartridge nozzles. On your computer, open the Lexmark Solution Center by going to the Start menu > Programs / All Programs > Lexmark Z600 Series > click the Maintenance tab > under Select Maintenance tool, select Clean to fix horizontal streaks > click Print. The printer will then print a test page forcing ink through the cartridge nozzles and clean them.
If that doesn't help, remove the black cartridge and try to manually wipe the cartridge nozzles with a slightly moistened soft cloth to clean it from dirt and clogs. After wiping the nozzles, reinsert the cartridge into the printer. Print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.
If the problem continues, try to insert a different known working black cartridge to identify if it's a faulty cartridge issue.

Lexmark Series X1150 My printer does not recognize the color print cartridge and only prints in Black even though the color cartridge is new. First time this has ever happened. I've had the printer...


Make sure you are inserting the correct color cartridge versions for the Lexmark X1150 (either #26 or #27).
Try to clean the cartridge nozzles. On your computer, open the Lexmark Solution Center, click Start > Programs > Lexmark X1100 Series > Lexmark X1100 Series Solution Center. From the Maintenance tab, click Clean to fix horizontal streaks. Your printer will then print a page that will help clean the nozzles from possible dirt and clogs.
If that doesn't help, try to insert a different known working cartridge (e.g. your old cartridge or another new cartridge). It could be a faulty cartridge issue.

When i refil a new ink printer after i close it cannot print, black cartridge missing, so how i solve it.


Try to reseat the cartridge into the printer. If that doesn't help, try to insert a different known working cartridge to determine if it's a faulty cartridge issue.
Note that Lexmark does not recommend the use of refilled / 3rd party / remanufactured cartridges. These type of cartridges tend to degrade print quality and cartridge performance.

I have a Lexmark X6690 and bought new Lexmark print cartridges today - Black and Colour. The printer is recognising the colour cartridge but not the black one. Driving me nuts!! Please help x


Try to reseat the black cartridge. If that doesn't help, try to clean the cartridge nozzles. On the printer operator panel > press Setup button > Maintenance > Clean Cartridges > Ok. Your printer will then print a page, forcing ink through the nozzles to clean them. Try to print again. You may also try to insert a different known working black cartridge to determine if the other is faulty. If your new cartridge is faulty, return it to the purchase store (if within return period) or contact Lexmark technical support for assistance.

The issue which u r facing is" Communication issue"
Make sure u have installed the lexmark printer software...or else download it from the lexmark website(lexmark.com)..choose the s\w for ur operation system( Xp or vista(32bit or 64bit))...

If s\w is installed...

Check the USB cable..try different port...
Clear all the docs in the printer folder...
Remove the power adaptor and replung..restart computer..

When u unplug and replung the usb cable doesn ur computer give a pop up "found New hardware" ?

U can also try...
Uninstalling the s\w....disconnect the USB cable..reinstal the s\w and connect the cable when it prompts to...

T630 cannot print color


just a wild guess. it may not be capable of printing in color.
check if you indeed have color cartridges installed.

it says B/W - Black and White.

If it is Lexmark original cart get it replaced as it comes with one year warranty........some times cart are defective

All in one printer does not scan or copy


If the Ink Status is showing a ? symbol after you have replaced the tanks, you just need to tell the printer that you replaced tanks ,

To do that , open your lexmark solution centre from the Lexmark start menu group.

Click Maintenence
