Did you drop the phone in water recently? Did you get it wet in the rain? Apart from the likely possibility that the phone is actually damaged/battery damaged, this happens if the power button gets damaged. When you put the phone to charge, in the middle of the night the power button "acted" as if it was pressed and held and the phone turned off. Now when you press the power button, nothing happens because the power button is damaged.
Take it to a repair shop and check the power button for damage. It is replaceable and should not cost a lot.
Does your phone have a removable battery? If yes then you might be in luck. If not, then just take the phone to repair shop and get the power button checked and repaired.
If battery is removable I know that it is possible to turn on the phone this way: 1) Plug in the charger to the phone 2) Remove the battery and insert it immediately. Do this multiple times and the phone should turn on without having to press the power button. Hope that works.
Did your phone get wet or was it dropped before this happened ? The
reason I ask is because it sounds like the phone's lcd or possibly the
mainboard was damaged.
If you didnt get it wet or drop it then there is a chance the phone was
just defective. If you have phone insurance replace it if not you might
want to decide between getting a new one or having that one repaired.
Normally its more expensive to repair it then replace it.
Hello Alex, I repair these Kodaks and the problem is no fault of yours. These models suffer from switch problems as they age.If it's not the main rotary switch it is the small joystick in the center of it. The repair cost exceeds the cost of replacing the camera, just not worth it. Sell yours on E-Bay for "parts" and by a good used one. Best Regards, Russell
Same with me, I would love 2 hear a solution for the problem .. First my cancel button didnt work, then it suddenly started working again then the hang-up button didnt work, my battery ran out one day and now it wont turn back on, does anyone know how 2 fix it?? :) Miaaa.x
I don't know why you can't answer your phone or why you banged it to get it to work but your inside screens connector may just have came loose as it sometimes happens with out you doing anything wrong. Just take it apart and check the wires on the solved problems I think there one that tells you how to do this.
