Pioneer Inno FM modulator

I've lost my option to set the FM frequency on my Pioneer Inno. In fact, it's variable. Sometimes it popps up for a few seconds, but lately it's dsappearing before I can set it. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance

    Hello,

How do you find the FM Frequency on the Inno I have followed the directions step by step and the FM frequency option never appears. Does anyone know how to fix this problem any help would be greatly appreciated.

My Inno will no longer work in my car. I have lost the Fm modulator option..even when it is properly placed in cradle. Any ideas?

The menu option for setting the FM frequency will not come up on my Inno.
It is in the car cradle and won't come up. Also, when it is in the home dock or the Delphi boom box, i cannot get the audio line out level setting to come up.
Thus, the boom box is useless as I cannot get the audio level high enough for the boom box to pick it up.

I've had my inno in my car for over a year and it has worked great. A week ago the signal was gone and I took it back to the installers to get the trunk-mounted antena fixed. They changed to frequency I was listening to but it worked great - for one day - then static. Now the Fm modulator is gone from the menu and I all I get is static.

I am having the same problem. XM told me to contact the installer. It worked great for at least a year, then one evening it would no longer play in the car.
When it is in the cradle I don't have the options for FM modulator. I know how to go to it as I have had to changed the frequency many times. At the same time it no longer plays in the home dock either. I have a signal, but no audio out.

Make sure it is docked in the docking cradle for the car. The option will not come up if the unit is not in the docking cradle.

I found a blog about modifying the home dock to enable the fm modulator: http://www.orbitcast.com/archives/the-scoop-on-the-pioneer-innos-fm-modulator.html. I tried it and it worked for me (proceed at your own risk!). I purchased the resistor for 99 cents at radio shack and soldered it to the board as suggested. The dock is assembled with small torx (star) screws but if you are very careful, you can remove them with a tiny screwdriver.

"Solder a 3.3Kohm resister between pin 9 and pin 10 of J4, on the "BUNA DOCK RF P5 card (inside the home dock). The card that the antenna plugs into. Send an email to inno@badasshacker.com if ur the type who has to see a pic. This mod is so easy "A Cave Man could doit". XM has the firmware checking the headphone jack, so don't plug one in. Happy modding! :-) "

I also purchased this phone holder: http://www.eforcity.com/swivel-windshield-phone-holder-for-nokia-n95-cnokn95xph02.html (using this coupon code: pdauhol) . I purchased an inno car charger, antenna, and sure connect fm booster on Ebay so I could use the home dock in my car for about half what a car kit would cost.

All you have to do in remove and re-install the battery. This clears the glitch and you will see the FM modulator menu re-appear.

Pioneer inno radio-doesn't work in car

When its in the car dock, the Inno sends an FM signal to the car radio. It does not receive a signal from the car radio. You must have the external antenna correctly installed outside the vehicle for the Inno to work. The built in antenna is disabled when the device is placed in the car dock. Make sure to test it outside, since garages or car ports will block the signal.

The problem is caused by a glitch in the firmware that came on your Inno. It can be easily fixed by downloading a free firmware update at http://fwupdt.xmradio.com.

Pioneer Inno Gex-INNO2BK stuck in re-boot cycle

I fixed the reboot cycleing problem by plugging the travel charger into the jack that also fits the home and car cradle. I had the Inno set to auto start when it was powered on in the car cradle. The travel plug must have over-ridden the auto-start setting and allowed it to finish the complete bootup. I then reset the Inno default settings and every thing was back to normal. I do not know what was the original cause of the rebooting cycle problem

Not sure if this will help but I noticed that the modulator won't show up if you have your head phones, ear buds, cassette adapter etc. hooked up. Unplug any line out and see if it helps.
