Make sure theres no cover on it, also, make sure you have the latest driver, ( available at the website).
Check your settings also, you may have it set to have audio only or turned on some kind of Shutter setting that blocks the image.
Can you take a picture of yourself with it?
If so then it may be the other person with the issue.
