Phone keeps beeping after incoming call is rejected

When I'm on a call and an incoming call comes in, the phone notifies me with a beep - this is to be expected. However, after I reject the call, it continues to beep periodically (to either notify me of a missed call or a voicemail I believe) until I end the call that I'm on. The beeping is so obtrusive that I've found myself having to end calls and call the person back just to get rid of the beeping. I can't for the life of me figure out how to make this stop.

I'm not sure what you're suggesting is the solution. However, I've tried messing with all the settings already.

If you go to Menu->Settings->Tones and then choose Notification and change that setting to silent, then I believe your pesky beeping will go away. It's something to try anyhow.

since the only thing that should work didn't (my phone can switch between callers by pressing that button) then I would suggest calling the manufacturer and see if they know of anything that would stop this if it can be stopped

I'm just telling you that with my phone, what I told you works but now I think you should call the manufacturer at the numbers given and see if there is a way to fix this or not.

    Thank you

you can turn the notification and confirmation tones off from sound settings.

  • Ekse Apr 15, 2008

also keypad tone if required. the skye ring, landline ring, skypein ring, intercom ring will still work you just wont get notification sounds.

  • Ekse Apr 15, 2008

    Setting the Ring Tones

You can personalize your phone’s sound by setting the ringer melody, keypad tone, and ringer volume on the Tones menu.

To go to the Tones menu, press Menu>Settings>Tones.

    You can change these settings:

Ring Type. Your handset has four ring types: Skype, SkypeIn, Landline, and Intercom. Select the ring type that you want. Scroll and select a melody, and then press OK. The new settings is saved.

Ring Tone. Scroll and select a melody, and then press OK. The new settings is saved.

Ring Volume. Press (Up or Down) to scroll to a volume level, and then press Select.

Notification. Scroll to the new setting, and then press Select when finished.

Keypad Tone. The keypad tone is the sound you hear when you press a button on your handset. Scroll and select the new setting.

Confirmation. You hear the confirmation tone when you place the handset on the charger, or after certain events

Cannot hear phone ringing in headset, only on handset.

The HL10 handset lifer is what notifies your headset that you have an incoming call. If you are using the handset lifter and are not receiving the 3 short beeps in your ear piece there are a couple different things that could be going on.
1. The internal microphone could have gone out on the lifter. This microphone is what sends the signal to your headset that you have an incoming call. If the microphone is working you will hear 3 short beeps in your headset.
2. If the volume is too low on your telephone, the handset lifter will not notify the headset of an incoming call, so try turning the volume up on your phone and see if that takes care of the problem.
3. The HL10 handset lifter ships with a ring detector that has a 2.5mm jack on one end and a small round microphone on the other end. This ring detector is intended for phones that do not have the speaker located under the handset. You could try plugging this into the back of the lifter and setting the microphone next to where the lifter is mounted on your phone. This might help pick up the sound of the phones ring tone.

If you are manually lifting your handset out of the cradle and sitting it to the side instead of using a lifter, then you will not receive the 3 short beeps in your earpiece to notify you of an incoming call.

Good luck from Headsets Direct!

Need set-up Information for Blue Tooth phone in Chrysler Pacifia 2005

I found the link below containing a download of the .pdf file and also pasted the phone pairing portion below it. These instructions are exactly the same as when pairing to my system in my '08 Caliber,so they're probably universal. Keep in mind, though, that the system just may not be fully compatible with your phone. EVERYTHING that Chrysler makes is EXTREMELY finicky-and you may be doing everything right! Before you begin, set your phone into its pairing or "find me" mode, then press the UConnect button. I hope this helps! Good luck.

Linking to UConnect – Required for First-time Use of Each Mobile Phone
To complete the pairing process, the mobile-phone owner’s manual will need to be referenced. One of the following vehicle-specific Web sites will also provide detailed instructions for pairing with the phone: www.chrysler.com/uconnect, www.dodge.com/uconnect and www.jeep.com/uconnect.
• Press the Phone icon button to begin
• After the Ready prompt and subsequent beep, say Set Up Phone Pairing
• When prompted, after the voice or beep, say Pair a Phone
• You will be asked to say a four-digit PIN that will be needed later to enter into your mobile phone. You can use any four-digit PIN. You will not need to remember the PIN after the initial pairing process
• For identification purposes, you will be prompted to give the UConnect system a name for your mobile phone. Each mobile phone that is being paired should be given a unique phone name
• You then will be asked to give your mobile phone a priority level between one and seven, one being highest priority. The priority allows the UConnect system to know which mobile phone to use if multiple mobile phones are in the vehicle at the same time
Making a Phone Call
• Press the Phone icon button to begin
• After the Ready prompt, say Dial
• The system will prompt you to say the number you wish to dial
Making a Phone Call Using Your UConnect Phonebook
• Press the Phone icon button to begin
• After the Ready prompt, say Call followed by the name and designation of a phonebook entry you wish to dial – for example Call, then John Doe, then Work
Terminating a Phone Call
To end a call in progress, press the Phone icon button. All calls in progress will
be terminated.
Phone Redial
• Press the Phone icon button to begin
• After the Ready prompt, say Redial
• The UConnect system will call the last number that was dialed on your mobile phone. This may not be the last number dialed by the UConnect system
Answering or Rejecting an Incoming Call - No Call Currently in Progress
When you receive a call on your mobile phone, the UConnect system will interrupt the stereo audio to ask if you would like to answer the call. Press the Phone icon button to answer the call. To reject the call, press the Phone icon button until you hear a single beep indicating that the incoming call was rejected.

No 3 beep notification in the earpiece of an incoming call

I had the same problem and the cause was the handset lifter and not the earpiece--if the ringtone is too low at the lifter, it won't be detected and transmitted to the earpiece. Cranked up the ringtone and everything is fine.

If that doesn't take care of the problem you might look at whether or not you're using custom ringtones which might cause a problem. Switch them back to the defaults and see if the problem goes away.
