At only about $10 today for a brand new complete unit, I wouldn't bother. You'll pay at least that much with shipping for the replacement switch.

Or -- perhaps someone here who has had a failure on their unit (there are several) would just send it to you, and you could swap the switch from one to the other.

Can anyone from owner Motorola headset HS820 (n356) make pinout of charger? I lost charger and want resolder mUSB port instead original, so, i know voltage (5.9 DC) and need polarity of power jack.

I know this isn't exactly what you're looking for; and if we knew the type of connector for the charge unit, we could probably find the power + & - pinouts. I still have a few of these power supplies laying around, and if I find one; I'll try to revisit; but to be honest; I really don't know where they are right now.

Still, it doesn't look that difficult to open up. I'm including a link to an Instructable which shows you how to do this. I've usually found that when it comes to DC, the positive is always red, the negative is usually black, and that always seems to hold true. Once you get a look see, I'm sure it's easy after that. Good luck, and be sure to rate this if you're helped by this response. Cracking Open The Motorola HS820 Bluetooth Headset

Can't turn down the volume on my tv

The fault is due to the microswitches on the front panel. Just replace all of them at the same time. These switches can be located just behind the front pane push buttons. To access it you have to open the TV, and take out the printed circuit board out.3_1_2012_2_49_48_pm.jpgPictures of two type of microswitches are given here. The shape may differ to tV to tv, but look this. may vary ins size and shape too.3_1_2012_2_50_23_pm.jpg

Motorola HS820 - cannot hear anything nor can others hear me

It turns out it was the Blackberry's problem, which could only be solved by a 're-boot' - take off the back of the Blackberry, pull out the battery for 10 seconds or so, and replace it. The BB will 'reset' and all was fine then.

Pairing Motorola HS820 with Blackberry 8310

there is really no fail safe method to pairing a bluetooth device.
The main thing is recognition. i,d suggest trying to press the different buttons on the transmitting bluetooth device, whilst attempting to pair. i.e volume up/down or on/off et,c. to enable the device-blackberry to find and sync. i,d think the device that needs to be configured or setup correctly is the blackberry rather than the bluetooth device.
try changing the phone settings. to accept all incoming signals on bluetooth, or disable encryption.

hope this helps.

Static discharge

Hello Gil
WEll defenetely, you fried your spks. so you have some options here.
1) Go to warranty (if apply) and use it.
2) get the spks. to repair shop to change board. ($$$)
3) buy new pair of speakers. and keep away from statics places. use wood tables instead of metalics.
good luck

Mic doesn't work

Is anything blocking the mic? Maybe there's a sensitivity setting on the headset or the phone? I'd recommend connecting it to a Bluetooth Enabled PC and try recording with sound recorder to test the sound quality/volume. If it's ok on the computer, it's a problem with your phone. If it's still quiet on the computer, I'd recommend you send the headset away for repairs/replacement of defective device.

Volume knob

Normal Aiwa compact shelf units use what is called a jog switch for the volume. Usually you can tell the difference if when you you turn the volume up or down. It goes a short distance and seems to spring back. In this case there are two momentary contact switches. One for up one for down. With a plastic lever on the back of the knob that bumps the approriate switch whether turning down or up. If the lever is broken it will bump up against one but not the other. If it is broken plastic you know how good gluing plastic goes it never seems to hold.
