Thers usually a screw that holds it in or a button ( not the one that ejects the CD) but one that pops out and then you pull it to eject the drive.

Tips for a great answer:
there should be just one screw directly behind the dvd drive in the centre of it. you might have to remove the cover for the memory/cpu to get to it. remove that screw, start the laptop, eject the dvd, turn the laptop off and then gently pull the whole drive and it will slide out.
