Question about Sony Ericsson Walkman® W880i Cellular Phone

1 Answer

W880i won't recognise memory stick

My W880i won't access anything on the memory stick. If i try to directly access it, it says "Memory Stick not inserted". If i remove it and re-insert it, it says "Warning! All content on Memory Stick will be lost. Format anyway?" No matter which button i press, yes or no, nothing actuallly happens. Any advice?

I have exactly the same problem - I know the memory stick works because it is fine in other phones so it must be a problem with the phone.

i turn mine off & turn it back on when it says insert memory card & it's fixed for a short period of time. this problem sucks because mine will do it in the middle of a conversation.

I think this might be a common fault mine seems to work if you squeeze the phone with your thumb just next to 8 and you finger on walkmen sighn at the back.

Computer doesn't recognise memory stick pro duo 4gb

Hello Guys,

The computer sometimes doesn't recognize the memory stick device due to corruption, there are numerous causes for memory stick corruption for example virus attack, improper removal, wrong usage of the memory stick device and many more. After such corruption scenario data are lost from these devices, but luckily you can recover memory stick files by using an efficient recovery application like Yodot Photo Recovery. Apart from memory stick the tool also recovers files from all other devices like memory stick, hard disk, iPods, music players etc. Try using this tool to recover your data from memory stick

The camera is not recognising the memory stick

Hello,
If this is a new memory stick, some cameras require you to format it using the utility on the camera. If you haven't done so, you can try to format it. This will delete all contents on the memory stick.
If this is an old memory card, chances are it is already corrupted. Try to attach it directly on your laptop either on the SD card slot or a USB card reader.

Photos not going onto memory stick

Storage defaults to internal memory (32MB) when Memory Stick Duo is not detected/recognised. Check to see if the Memory Stick's write protect tab is unlocked, or try another Memory Stick.
