scanner errors= you need to disassemble the flatbed, top portion of the printer you need to be very carefull but it can be done once it is disassembled you can clean all your mirrors inside scanner carriage

Also have same problem but it is not a scanner problem, I think it is HP. It used to work with HP. I have a Sony VIAO and it scans fine when I hook the USB to the Sony...

Scanning is not possible anymore.
The printer can not warm it up enough for scanning.

So I think the warming system is not functioning anymore

I have already many times taken of the power (and taken out the cable) for more then 2 minutes, but does not help.

What can be the next step?
Is it possible to repair it and not pay " the new price" for repair costs?
