Problem for Web Cameras
Generic problem for all Web Cameras
Driver for webcam DK Technologies CAM-822
Good day to all the experts, I have a webcam marks DK Technologies model CAM-822 and I need the driver to be able urilizarlo in Win XP.
Regrettably I could not have could find it for any way in Internet, this camera in design is similar to the Radio Shack VGA PC Camera Webcam, for which I supposed that it uses the same driver as the Radio Shack but they are not compatible.
I would like to know if someone has this driver or can indicate me where I can encotrarlo since I traced the model and came across with the manufacturer in China but they it does not have anything of software for his products as which I came to you.
I hope that someone could help me, hope for his prompt news, thank you and see you soon.

I'm not having any luck finding the driver either.
(01) Can you find anywhere on the camera or its packaging an FCCID number?
This number can be used to find the actual manufacture of the device. In other words, the manufacturer will likely be listed w/ the FCC.
(02) Where (country and retailer) did you purchase the webcam from?
(03) I believe I made a little progress. Is the camera you are referring to the one shown HERE?
Looks like it to me. I could be wrong, though. The camera listed at this link is branded w/ the "MAXIN" trademark.
This product is apparently sold under a number of different brands - all leading back to China.
I did finally manage to find contact information that may give you a way of at least finding out whom you can get the drivers for this device from. Every site I found it listed on had no support options or options to download instructions or manuals.
This is just one of those nightmare pieces of hardware when it comes to support and documentation.
HERE is the site that I found contact information for Maxin on. They have an email address you can use.
I tried the "showroom". It's apparently geared for potential distributors - not end users.
I put a lot of effort into this search so if you could, please, not assign a "Thanks for Trying" rating, I would be most grateful. (That particular rating negatively impacts our overall rating here on FixYa)
If you can find any other information or if you're able to find an FCCID number, etc., please, let me know. I'd be glad to continue to work on this with you.

By the way, I found no listing at all for DK Technologies webcameras.
I found the webcam branded by the following 3 names:
Maxin Digital Limited
Maxin Digital
Both supposedly under "Maxin Group"
HERE it is - the webcam driver for the camera w/ the same model no. but branded as a "Maxin" camera. I think it's the same one.
I recommend you create a System Restore point BEFORE you go to the site. Download the driver and back it up to CD, etc.
Then if you start having problems after (w/ pop upss, adware, etc.), Restore your system to that earlier restore point you made.

A "FixYa" rating for my efforts would be most appreciated as finding the drivers for you was very tricky and took quite a bit of perseverance and time (more than one hour). :)
