    I have a Cordless Desktop LX 300 mouse and keyboard set. My keyboard stopped working all of a sudden, but the mouse is this fine.

    I have:
    * checked the batteries;
    * re-connected with the receiver connect button and the keyboard connect button (underneath);
    * reconnected the ps2 plugs;
    * restarted the pc several times;
    * tried the usb connection as well.

    The strange thing is, that the lights of the receiver go off (as it would under normal circumstances) when i connect with the keyboard button. Therefore the receiver and keyboard communicate with each other, but still no input from the keyboard to the pc.
    I am using a normal ps2 keyboard at the moment, so the ps2 port of my motherboard is definitely working.
    Can someone please help me with this problem - your help will be greatly appreciated.

    I replaced a wireless keyboard which wasn't working with a generic keyboard, after testing batteries and going threw the reset motions.

    I also tried to update drivers and was advised the latest are already installed.

    Because the standard ps2 keyboard worked, i then swapped the wireless keyboard back, which didn't work so back to the generic keyboard and now that wont function either.

    So i have to use an onscreen keyboard to do things.

    Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    My keyboard stopped connecting while mouse works fine. If i press the connect button on the keyboard nothing happens on the receiver (i.e. it continues flashing).

    Had the device no more than 3 months...

First make sure the receiver is plugged into the computer. Second make sure you have fresh batteries in the keyboard and they are installed in the correct orientation. Then try the following:

1. Press the Connect button on the receiver. The receiver's LEDs will go into a sequential flashing to indicate that the receiver is ready to accept a connection.

2. Press the Connect button on the bottom of the keyboard. The receiver's LEDs will now stop flashing sequentially. Then all the LEDs go off briefly, then they will all flash once before returning to the state it was in before the connect button was pressed.

3. Your keyboard should now be connected to the receiver.

I had the same problem.

Check Batteries prior to all of the following

Try moving any wireless routers/hubs/modems and futher away from the reciever. (reciever is the sensor with 3 green lights on it) .

If all else fails press ctrl + alt + f12 altogether and press the connect button on the bottom of your keyboard when it asks you too. next follow the onscreen instructions and this should secure your keyboard and make it work again. :)

    CTRL ALT F12 worked fine.

    There are no green lights on a PS3 which is what my keyboard is paired to. Thanks for the ctrl alt f12 tip!

Try the mouse on a different computer. If it can't work on there then you may have a defective mouse. Contact logitech about warranty info.

Sounds like your keyboard has died...Try to perform a reboot, and make sure the battery is seated correctly. You will most likely have to get it replaced. I recommend going with a Microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse. Its a lot better than Logitech!!

If you know the batteries are good, then turn the keyboard over and find the small reset/connect button and press it. This resets /connects the board to the receiver. If it still doesn work, press the button on the receiver and then the mouse. Hope this is of help to you. Bud

Once you reboot, I'm assuming there isn't a problem with the keyboard and the mouse being in sync?

Always make sure the batteries are new or fully charged. Unfortunately, this set of wireless keyboard and mouse go through a lot of batteries. The batteries have a very short life.

Mouse and keyboard not working

  1. Remove the batteries from the keyboard.
  2. Make sure you have the mouse synchronized. To do this, press the connect button on the receiver, then press the connect button on the mouse.
  3. Open the iTouch Configuration Panel by double clicking the iTouch icon in the Systray.
  4. Click the Cordless tab.
  5. Click the Connect button in the Control Panel. A dialog box will appear instructing you to press the connect button. Before you do, you should re-insert the batteries.
  6. After inserting the batteries, press the connect button on the keyboard.
  7. Verify both devices function correctly.
If this does not work, please try the steps below:
  1. Remove the batteries from the keyboard and press keys on the keyboard repeatedly (as if typing) for approximately one minute. This will clear out the capacitors.
  2. Press the Connect button on the receiver.
  3. Press the Connect button on the mouse. NOTE: You may need a pencil tip or other small tip to press the connect button.
  4. Press the Connect button on the receiver.
  5. Insert the batteries back into the keyboard.
  6. Press the Connect button on the keyboard.
