Wireless router does not connect to the internet

I have checked that all ISP criteria agree with the router data and the wiring etc. Howver the router will not connect to the internet via the router but when I reconnect my speedtouch modem via the USB port it works OK as before. I have a SpeedTouch ADSL connection with a filter on it and this is set as the default connection.
The network adapter is ASUSTeK/Broadcom 440x 10/100 Integrated Controller Resource.

WizWhile you have the router connected to your modem, try unplugging the modem and plugging it back in. This will force the modem to redetect network connections.
