Looks like your optical sensor is gone. And considering the price of the PDV-722 replacing the optical unit is not an option. By the other hand I have a burned slave monitor and I would be happy to buy yours to complete my set, which is reading DVD's very well.
If anyone would know it would be the company who made it. Walmart buys
from small electronics companies and puts it under the Durabrand name.
