I have a 1994 volvo 850 GLT. Radio reset code

We just unlocked a 98 Volvo S-70 radio,on the front,you have 2 slots across from each other,use you finger nails or a dime to get it to come out,then you can pull it out,then get the serial number and write it down,then put stereo back in,then get your vin number,it's on your insurance card,then call dealer and ask for your radio code,they will ask for vin number and radio serial code,if your radio says code,then you can enter it,ifit says off,then it's locked,you have 3 tries till it locks and it says off,if it says off,then you turn key to number 1,turn radio on,wait 2 hours,then it will say code,then enter code and radio will unlock,our code is 5513 if you want to see if it will work for you.Here's a link to you owners manual,read about the radio code,same as our's,but the dealer will give it to you free. 1994 Volvo 850 Watch this video. You need to contact Volvo dealer and provide your VIN# to get code for your radio

If you mean the radio activation code, you should try looking in your owner's manual, if someone wrote it down like they should.

If not, then you need to find a place that sells that brand of radio, and have them change it and give you the new code. They can't give you the old one.

I'd be taking the dash apart looking for burnt wires in a harness, so you will likely have to take the outer cover off some of the bundles. Start tracing back from the plug in for the radio. Hope this helps.

I just got the security code for mine. 6626...you can try it. Or go down to your local Volvo dealer with your registration. They can look up the code using your VIN number.

well, I don't know, the dealer has all of that info, but if your lucky you can pull the old radio and maybe a previous owner or mechanic was thoughtful enough to write the code on top. Locate the two springloaded tabs on the left and right sides of the face, push them in gently with a knife or flat screwdriver and use them to pull the radio out. Good luck. 

remove radio by pushing in the two side tabs to alow you to remove.  Call your local volvo dealer (parts dept.) with the serial # and part # off the radio.  Type in the code and volia.

go to your local volvo dealership, and you must have the car in your name, but ask one of the mechanics if you can have the code for your radio, they'll look it up and give it to you I believe.

call your local volvo dealer and tell them your battery went dead and that you need radio code. they will ask you for car VIN...dont go that route, pull out radio and give them the numbers on the sticker ontop of radio. and make sure you keep the code written down. Good luck.
